Redefining aging with dignity and purpose

Imagine growing older in a society where your well-being is thoughtfully planned, where you are respected, connected, and supported instead of being sidelined.

Arunala is more than just a project. It is a call to action to build a future where aging in Indonesia is seen not as a burden, but as a phase of continued dignity, purpose, and care.

Aging should not mean giving up life & passions

It should mean exploring them in new, exciting, and age-friendly ways. From hanging out, traveling, going to concerts, to discovering nature, these experiences should remain available for older adults and thoughtfully tailored to this stage of life.

Freeing the future generation from intergenerational burdens

We imagine a society where elder well-being is planned with care. Where systems allow older adults to stay connected, supported, and independent. So they can live fully, and the next generation can move forward without guilt or pressure.

Investing in elders is as important as investing in youth

As we’re moving toward Indonesia Emas 2045, today’s most productive generation will age and retire. Without a strong eldercare system, the burden on the sandwich generation in 2045 will be twice as heavy as it is today. The time to act is now.

We must rethink how we age

Our goal is to help build a functioning, accessible, and affordable elder care system for Indonesia. We are here to shift narratives, reshape perceptions, develop evidence-based policies, and advocate for solutions that empower both the elderly and the generations that follow.
